We are excited to announce Forbes has recognized Immuta as one of America’s Best Startup Employers. Our inclusion in this annual ranking acknowledges Immuta’s record annual growth, as well as our commitment to providing the support and resources employees look for in a modern employer. To compile this list, Forbes evaluated 2,500 American businesses with at least 50 employees on the following criteria:

In this post, I’ll discuss Immuta’s company values and mission, employee wellbeing, and record annual growth to illustrate why Forbes recognized us as a top startup employer.

In 2020, Immuta experienced record demand for data access control and automated data access governance. During a turbulent and unprecedented year, we more than doubled our customer base, which now includes three top U.S. banks, two leading U.S. health insurance companies, two preeminent global automotive manufacturers, and several global consumer product and entertainment companies. To meet this demand-driven business expansion, we invested in hiring, expanded our partner ecosystem and business footprint overseas, and launched new product capabilities.   

Immuta’s full-time headcount increased by 115% in 2020, including key positions on our European go-to-market and leadership teams. We also continued to expand our partner network and build out our integrations with top cloud data platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, Starburst, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, and Amazon Redshift. These new features include native integrations with Starburst and Presto, enhanced privacy and collaboration features for Databricks, and privacy and security automation capabilities for Snowflake. Finally, Immuta’s successful integration with Amazon RDS earned us the Amazon RDS Ready designation
